It turns out she is doing just that for her thesis at the University of Miami. A senior on track to graduate in May, the Brazzers contract girl is completing her bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and classical studies with plans to go to law school. To make her case, Danger tells me she’s referencing the work of John Stuart Mill, the 19th-century philosopher who popularized utilitarianism—the theory that the right action is always the one that produces the greatest amount of happiness for the greatest number of people. “I love utilitarianism,” Abella says. “I’m arguing the morality of pornography under a utilitarian framework.” But today she’s hosting a talk show. The enterprising superstar keeps the mood upbeat on “The Abella Show: Danger She Spoke,” the splashy new venture produced by Brazzers Creator that features her having candid conversations with some of the industry’s most influential personalities. It’s the 2 o’clock hour on Sunday, October 4 and Danger sparks an unmistakable chemistry with her talented crew—helmed by director Lea Lexis along with events and production coordinator, Liam Riley—as they chit-chat over a sushi lunch at the Brazzers studio in the San Fernando Valley. Danger left nothing to chance as Season 2 gets underway, inviting elite creator Ari Kytsya to be the first guest on the brand new contemporary set surrounded by a colorful panoramic image of the Miami skyline. Today’s interview marks the final phase of Danger’s latest fast-paced trip to L.A. In a matter of hours she’ll fly home to Miami so she can wake up early for school. “So primarily, I work on weekends,” Abella tells me. “I have school Monday through Friday, so right after class on Friday I flew here and I worked Saturday and Sunday, and tonight I’ll be on a plane and I land at 7 a.m. “Then at 10 a.m. I’ll be in class.” Call it business as usual for the only female porn star ever to reach 2.3 billion views on Pornhub. At press time Danger still ranked No. 4 in the world in the “Popular Stars” category on the mega-site despite not performing in any new sex scenes in years. ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/d0f18ce7-a96d-4acf-ab98-40189c535e41.jpg) The 2016 AVN Best New Starlet—who has amassed 9.3 million followers on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/dangershewrote/?hl=en), 2.1 million on [X](https://x.com/Abella_Danger), and holds the record for nine consecutive Fan-Voted AVN Awards for Most Amazing Ass—exhibits no effects of her grueling cross-country schedule. Quite the contrary. Twelve-plus years after she began her adult entertainment journey when she was still a teenager in Florida, she is living her best life whether she’s on the set, on campus or going viral at a Miami Hurricanes football game. “I met her right at the beginning,” recalls her agent Mark Spiegler, who has guided a who’s who of adult stars in his AVN Hall of Fame career. “She shot five or six scenes for me in Florida and then she came over to meet me. I’m proud of her because even to this day I still always think of her as this 18-year-old knucklehead living in the spare room in my apartment. “Now she’s graduating from the University of Miami and about to go to law school and she’s become a brand in and of her own. She even has her own whiskey brand. She’s a force to be reckoned with.” Danger reveals that Brazzers & Co. actually started filming Season 1 of her show in August 2025; and everyone kept the project under wraps until the [launch party](https://avn.com/galleries/the-abella-show-launch-party-16155) July 23 at The Nocturne Theater in Glendale, Calif. That night Danger taped a live episode in front of a few hundred of her adult industry peers that became the Season 1 finale that dropped in late October on [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@DangerSheWrote). Danger welcomed fellow Brazzers contract stars Scott Nails and Abigaiil Morris as her special guests that evening, while Jordi El Niño Polla made a masked cameo. Several luminaries graced the studio audience including additional Season 1 guests such as Kira Noir, Madison Ivy, Jelly Bean Brains, Manuel Ferrara and Girthmasterr. Cherie DeVille, Luna Star, Kayley Gunner and Spiegler also sat in Danger’s hot seat for the stacked first season. “We had talked about it ad nauseam for so long and waited until like the time was perfect,” Danger says. “And it’s crazy because it was a secret that we kept for a year, except for the guests knew.” ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/118424c1-f5b8-4b44-94db-375b87bc1520.jpg) Ryan Hogan, senior director - paysites for Brazzers, tells AVN the idea to showcase Danger’s one-of-a-kind personality in a talk-show format goes back to even before COVID hit. “We took our time to learn how we wanted to do it and get it done right,” Hogan says. “We actually talked about the idea maybe eight years ago back in Montreal. We said, ‘What if we did something like a talk show with Abella for a scene? Because I think with her character and her growing stardom that we can actually produce a full talk show and she would kill it.’” Hogan continues, “We all know she can talk and she can carry something like that. First it was like a light joke and then it became if we ever have the ability, we should do it. So it was always an idea that was there even before she was on contract. And Abella is always down for anything different. “Then the joke turned into, ‘When should we do this?’ Then COVID happened, things shifted a bit and the timing came around to now where we’re at a point where she’s a megastar on Instagram and all over. “We saw the timing and said let’s do it. She committed, we started shooting it and we’re going to keep building this thing in Season 2.” Hogan tells me there even are plans in the works to produce another episode with a live studio audience at the Brazzers x AVN kickoff event in January during the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. [[pullquote]] "I’m proud of her because even to this day I still always think of her as this 18-year-old knucklehead living in the spare room in my apartment." -Mark Spiegler [[/pullquote]] Indeed, “[Danger She Spoke](https://www.instagram.com/abellashow/?hl=en)” marks just the beginning for Abella & Co., as she and Hogan are developing a network around her brand that will include potential sister projects like “Danger She Eats,” “Danger She Films,” and “Danger She Sports.” “We’re going to explore some spin-offs, probably starting with sports,” Hogan adds. “The sky’s the limit.” ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/fdc5e200-693b-431d-804f-d81a81669780.jpg) Throughout the making of Season 1, Abella tells me she gained newfound respect for “the Jimmys.” “I’ve learned that it’s very hard to be a talk show host,” she admits. “Because you want to be eloquent, but you also want to be interested and you want to be respectful of your guests. “And for me at least, I never want to cross any boundaries and make them feel in any way uncomfortable.” Danger adds, “I didn’t quite realize what a challenge that would be. But I definitely found my footing along the way. From the first episodes to now, there’s definitely a growth and I kind of got more comfortable as I went on.” Just ask Lea Lexis, a 20-year industry veteran who has been calling the shots for ZZ for nine years and directing “Danger She Spoke” from the beginning. “I think she’s learned to be more comfortable without a plan and go off what the guest is saying versus probably the first episode when she would be really looking at her \[notes\] so much to make sure she has talking points,” Lexis tells AVN. “So I think it is becoming more comfortable and she’s becoming more intuitive with the guests. And the interviews are getting better because of that.” The AVN Hall of Famer continues, “Because now rather than going off her research, she’s finding out what the guest is really into and discovering things. Kira’s one was pretty good because at that point I think she was really good at sitting back and listening to what the guest is telling her and then fishing from that. “I’ve known Kira for 12 or something years and I was finding out new things I’ve never heard before, which makes for a good interview, right? “I think she’s really getting more confident.” Liam Riley agrees. The 13-year industry veteran, who is a former Helix and CockyBoys star and also is Danger’s best friend, joined the “The Abella Show” crew in the springtime, bringing significant project management and production skills to his role. One of his many responsibilities as events and production coordinator is to help Abella research her guests. “Getting to work on the show has been a lot of fun,” Liam tells AVN. “She started out as one of my best friends in the entire world. I’ve gotten to know her as a person. I’ve gotten to live with her, and I’ve worked with her as an assistant. I’ve been around her in so many parts of her life and working with her in this space to help bring this show to life has been a great experience. ... The stars aligned in that way.” [[pullquote]] “Of course, even in law school I will still do this. Yeah, nothing’s going to stop me." [[/pullquote]] ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/904fde73-75bc-4914-8ab0-f69c3efeb6be.jpg) Liam recalls meeting Abella a decade ago at the 2017 AVN Show, a year after she won the industry’s biggest award for a new female performer. “And she wore that tuxedo blazer outfit that year,” Riley says. “She looked like Pee-wee Herman. It was instant with the connection we had. She said she scouted me. I was hanging out with Kimmy Granger a lot, and she said, ‘I want him to be my best friend.’ “Then she invited me to go get our nails done with Spiegler at The Village in Woodland Hills and we’ve been inseparable ever since.” Liam continues, “It’s not often that you get to see somebody become a star. Especially on the gay side you see people become stars, but it’s not the same capacity that the women become stars and she’s become one of the biggest stars I know. It’s kind of crazy and it’s a beautiful thing. “During our quiet moments she goes back to being a normal girl. She’s almost like a superhero. But when it’s just us in our alone time, she’s back to doing the simple things. She just loves to watch movies, binge on food, sleep on the couch, go to the beach. “I get to play with Hannah Montana a little bit and then see her when she’s just herself away from the awards shows and expos. And now I get to see her as this talk show host. She’s this multi-faceted superstar and future lawyer. She does it all. She’s forever my Barbie.” Born and raised in the Valley, Riley in 2017 switched his focus from performing to other areas of production and since has landed numerous opportunities to work on shows such as *RuPaul’s Drag Race*, the *GLAAD Media Awards*, and the GayVNs, in addition to being a celebrity assistant. “Brazzers always felt like a family to me,” Liam adds. “It was like a homecoming when I finally got the opportunity to work for them. It’s been amazing.” [[pullquote]] "I truly love the production side of this industry as well.” [[/pullquote]] ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/e9a0e4c2-600f-4a65-b25e-f310c63dd58e.jpg) Danger tells me she’s always felt supported at Brazzers, and “Danger She Spoke” is just the latest example. “I feel a lot of pressure because when people around you are giving a thousand percent for you I feel that I have the responsibility to give that exact same energy back,” she says. “I would hate to not measure up to the expectations that people have, so I feel a great amount of responsibility to match all of their hard work.” So far, so good. Everything Danger has learned about interviewing seems to be on full display today as she bonds with Ari Kytsya. By the time it’s over, the two touch on everything from their shared love for musical theater and makeup YouTubers, to doing crafts, and their mutual disdain for fake internet beefs. “Drama is a way to get more views and people were pushing that on me,” Kytsya tells Danger. “To me, it’s kind of dystopian how people will just create a narrative that’s entirely false just for the sake of virality,” Danger replies. “And I really don’t understand it.” Abella finds out that [Ari](https://www.instagram.com/arikytsya), the Ukrainian/Canadian beauty from Seattle, spoke to crowd of about 1200 at University of Washington last November that was part of a Psych 201 (Human Sexuality) course; Ari also gave a presentation to a business class at Harvard University in April in Cambridge, Mass., where she discussed self-taught business models and strategies for monetization. Danger discovers that Kytsya’s last name means “cat” or “female cat” in Ukrainian, and that her favorite musical is *Les Misérables*, though she also enjoyed *Miss Saigon*. “So my favorite is *The Phantom of the Opera.* I absolutely adore *The Phantom of the Opera,”* Danger shares. “Have you ever seen it? You have to... If not, you have to watch the film with Emmy Rossum. It is absolutely amazing.” ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/92f78264-1005-4e32-b9f5-4132a566bcf8.jpg) As Ari is leaving the studio with her boyfriend, rap star Yung Gravy, she tells me that today was the first time she ever met Abella even though they had been texting before this. “Oh my God, it was so fun, I really liked it,” says Kytsya, who attended Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, where she studied music before going to cosmetology school. She also is the chief marketing officer for the upstart creator platform, Hidden. “It was really fun to talk about everything,” adds Ari, who still has Seattle as her main base but holds dual citizenship in Canada. To say that Abella has integrated with the student body at The U would be an understatement. Over the past four years, she has become the most well-known fan of the top-ranked Canes. Her most iconic viral moment came during ESPN’s broadcast of the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship game, when cameras caught her anguished expression during Miami’s 27-21 loss to Indiana. Danger tells me she also takes pride in being the University of Miami’s [Pi Kappa Alpha Sweetheart](https://www.instagram.com/p/DcyuxjjFNCQ/?hl=en&img_index=1) three years running—she even appears on the chapter’s composite photos hanging prominently in the PIKE house. “I take it very seriously,” she says. “Like, I’ve helped some of the brothers get bailed out of jail. Because they didn’t have anyone, they couldn’t call their parents. I was like, ‘I’ll bail you out.’ “I helped them raise money. They have charity called Dudes for Dads, so I helped them raise money for that. Like literally whatever they need. I love it, and I love going into the house and seeing all the composites.” [[pullquote]] "It was always an idea that was there even before she was on contract." —Ryan Hogan, senior director-paysites, Brazzers [[/pullquote]] ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/c1e8257b-a423-4c1a-86bd-384e4c07a4db.jpg) Danger, who originally signed with [Brazzers](https://www.brazzers.com/pornstar/2817/abella-danger) in May 2019, admits she wasn’t sure how going exclusive with one company would affect her career at the time. “There are so many amazing companies that I genuinely loved shooting for and while I love Brazzers, I was going to miss shooting for all these companies,” she recalls. “Then I was just like, OK, let me just try it and in the worst case, I can just end the contract and go back to shoot. And it was the best experience ever. “I was the first contract girl they had in years. And I always felt so much autonomy and so respected. And I got to start directing and producing, and that was an amazing experience.” She even made a cameo this past summer in Brazzers’ first-ever feature movie, *Mega Perv*, likening it to “a big family reunion.” “And that was awesome because I got to see all these people that I’ve known for like 12 years that I don’t normally get to see,” Abella says. “And I felt so nervous because I was like, ‘Oh my God, I haven’t been in a porno in any capacity at all \[since like 2020\]. And I was like, I don’t know. But it was so fun. And I’m so honored that I got the cameo. The movie looks so good. \[Director\] Ricky Greenwood is so talented.” Danger tells me that after graduation she wants to take a year off to "apply to 15 different law schools" and start producing again—most likely for Brazzers’ sister brand, Mofos. “Because I truly love the production side of this industry as well,” she says. “Like, all aspects of this industry. I love it so much.” And in case anyone is wondering, she fully intends to continue working for Brazzers once she starts law school. “Of course, even in law school I will still do this,” she says. “Yeah, nothing’s going to stop me. Like, who’s going to stop me? Why not? Why can’t I do that? Why can’t I do both? All I have to do is fly here some weekends and that’s it. You make it happen. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/3c7802b4-98d9-4030-a78f-eaf4aa444cb0.jpg) ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/c65b73e9-7b59-4ff4-a129-4bedfb94b635.jpg) ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/e9de5d33-2a01-45e7-8f02-96e5ae16eafb.jpg) ![](https://images.avn.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=800,quality=85,format=auto/articles/095WDD/inline/ace337af-6cb1-47d8-a5b0-d826b508750f.png) *Photography by [@shotbyzanc](https://www.instagram.com/shotbyzanc/?hl=en)*
