From Vitals to Viral: Hotwife Serenity Cox Thriving in Adult

The camaraderie. The energy. The rush. “It was a whole different team dynamic that I was just in awe,” recalls Cox, who worked for more than a decade-and-a-half as an ER nurse in Toronto. “I really felt drawn to that fast pace and feeling like you’re just in it together—I really loved that part of it.” Now three years after making her professional porn debut, Cox experiences a similar thrill when she steps onto the set for a high-stakes sex scene. And what started out as a naughty pandemic hobby—when she shared glimpses of her hot-wife lifestyle in homemade content on FetLife and Pornhub—has taken on a life of its own, propelling her from relative obscurity into a dazzling new reality. These days Cox travels the world as a contract star for Vixen Media Group (VMG), one of the most renowned companies in adult entertainment that signed her to an exclusive performance deal in June 2024. Then last October she became the first brand ambassador for VMG’s Wifey, the 2026 AVN Award-winning Best New Production Brand. And she’s been collecting industry accolades along with her increasing stature. Cox already has won four Pornhub awards—including back-to-back trophies for Favorite Fetish Model—as well as the 2024 xHamster Award for Female Creator of the Year. “I feel that spark with the adult industry now, whereas it was starting to fade a little bit after 16 years of being in nursing,” Cox tells AVN. “So I’ve reignited this spark in a new industry.”  She didn’t realize that documenting her real-life adventures in hotwifing with amateur videos primarily shot from her husband’s POV would attract such an enthusiastic audience. But at press time Cox’s content had generated more than 796 million views on Pornhub, where she skyrocketed to a Top 25 world ranking that she has maintained consistently for the past three-plus years. Twenty of Cox’s videos on Pornhub have received more than 5 million views. Her most popular one, posted in December 2022, is titled “Husband watches friend fuck his wife in the ass before cumming in her pussy”—and had 13.8 million views at press time. According to Pornhub Analytics, searches for “hotwife” increased 101 percent in 2025 over the previous year, cementing it as one of adult’s fastest growing genres. “I don’t know who is searching for these things,” Cox says. “I like to think that there’s a couple searching for this together. I know from a lot of my private messages on my own platforms, the number of couples who message together—even if they’re not actively participating in this lifestyle—are having these fantasies about that type of content. “It’s been incredible the number of people who see it and say, ‘We love this. This really does it for us.’” “I don’t think it’s a new theme,” Serenity adds. “I think there’s just more awareness around it. People are hopefully a little less afraid to admit that they enjoy this type of vibe.” Enter VMG’s innovative Wifey brand, a groundbreaking site launched in March 2025 that presents an intimate look at ethical non-monogamy (ENM) in a polished, documentary style. ENM entails individuals engaging in multiple romantic or sexual relationships with the consent and understanding of all parties involved.  Each Wifey scene is driven by interviews with real-life couples and some of the world’s top male performers. Wifey’s focus on the couple culminates with a sex scene featuring the hotwife and the professional stud. VMG’s move to give the hotwifing genre such a glossy platform also has become part of a national conversation. In April 2025, the brand received a spotlight on ABC’s long-running daytime talk show *The View* in a segment titled “How Is ‘Hotwifing’ Trend Saving Marriages?” [Serenity](https://x.com/SerenityCoxTO), who celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary this past July, met her future husband Timothy, aka Mr. Cox, in 2012. They had been monogamous—doing occasional hotwife role play—but they never acted on their fantasies in real life until the lockdown of 2020. According to Serenity, at first it wasn’t about filming, it was more about having fun when they invited other people to share in their intimate moments. As their explorations progressed, Serenity and Timothy would film themselves in threesomes from his POV. They remained private about what they were doing—in the beginning she even wore a mask when they filmed. But after their initial videos started racking up views and positive feedback, in 2021 they decided to upload a few of their clips on Pornhub because they heard they might be able to get free gear if they reached a certain amount of subscribers. About a year later, in May 2022, Cox received more than free swag. She got her first trophy—for Favorite Newcomer—at the 2022 Pornhub Awards. It was at that point that she and Mr. Cox engaged in a serious conversation about turning their hobby into more of a business. “It’s all been exciting because none of this was ever planned,” Timothy Cox, a native of England who used to run a web development company, tells AVN. Mr. Cox appeared with Serenity in her debut scene for [Wifey](https://members.vixenplus.com/videos/serenity-and-mr-cox-fit-hotwife-gets-creampied)—one of the first to be released on the site in March 2025—in which she performs with Dan Damage and Hollywood Cash. “We never tried to be somebody in the porn industry,” Timothy continues. “We uploaded a few videos for a bit of fun and it just went from there. Serenity never sought out pro work with Vixen. But eventually she said, why not give it a go?” “It’s been great to see her succeed,” Mr. Cox adds. “We started together and her personality kind of took over, but I’m still very much a part of it.”  Vixen Media Group, one of the most influential movie studios of the past decade, first tried to recruit Serenity in early 2023 on X. But she had no idea about the company’s track record and wasn’t ready. That changed in September 2023, when VMG connected with her again. This time Serenity had done her research and said yes, performing her first-ever studio scene in November 2023 with Dan Damage for [MILFY](https://members.vixenplus.com/videos/naughty-serenity-fucks-young-stud-while-hubby-watches). Fittingly, it was a hofwife scenario in which Ken Feels played her husband, who watches the rendezvous. “I was Serenity’s first professional studio scene and it already seemed like she was a seasoned veteran,” the A-list deal-closer Damage tells AVN. “We reunited for her Wifey debut, with Hollywood Cash, and I think her vibe fits that site perfectly.” Damage adds, “She has that genuine, unassuming MILF-next-door appeal, but with a much bolder side that comes out when she performs. I think that contrast is a big part of what makes her scenes so hot, especially because it feels authentic rather than an act.” AVN Hall of Fame director Derek Dozer knows what Cox is capable of as well as anyone in adult. He called the shots for Cox’s first Wifey scene and also orchestrated her BlackedRaw debut with Hollywood Cash. In addition, Dozer captured her six-man gangbang for *The Blueprint;* and the dramatic [Wifey reunion](https://members.vixenplus.com/videos/wifey-reunion-hotwives-return-for-the-ultimate-orgy)—an orgy matching four hot wives with four porn pros that Serenity not only hosted, she also joined. “I can’t tell you how much I love Serenity,” Dozer tells AVN. “From the first day we met she is just the most positive and beautiful person I’ve met in this business in a while. You can see why everyone just loves her. “Even one of my good friends was like, ‘Hey, you know Serenity? She’s my favorite porn star.’ He asked for a video and I asked if she would make one for him and she didn’t hesitate—that’s just how she is.” Dozer continues, “She’s the full package for sure. She can act and deliver when it comes to the sex, which is always so real and organic. I consider her a good friend.”  [Cox](https://www.instagram.com/serenitycox.official), who still manages her own career, tells AVN she was “completely honored” to be named Wifey’s original brand ambassador. Her first item of business was to board the Bliss Cruise November 8-15, 2025, setting sail from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to the Eastern Caribbean. As one of the world’s leading adult lifestyle cruises for open-minded couples, Bliss Cruise brings together more than 3,000 guests for a week of exploration and connection. The occasion marked Wifey’s first-ever cruise sponsorship, a milestone for the brand as it continued expanding its presence within the ENM community. It also has sent Cox to lifestyle events such as the past two Naughty N’awlins in New Orleans and Splash Eroticon in Atlanta. “She is a real hotwife, so Wifey is the perfect place for her to call home,” says Mike Moz, the AVN Hall of Fame executive who is the head of casting for Vixen Media Group. “She is the most visible hotwife probably on the planet. “There is something magnetic about her. She’s a celebrity within that world. It’s fantastic for me, I go do these shows and people will approach her asking for advice and sharing their stories.” “I couldn’t be happier that things came together the way they did with her,” Moz continues. “She’s been a fantastic brand ambassador. Her knowledge is genuine because she lives it. She’s very versatile. She’s a great actress and a fantastic sexual performer.”  Not only did Wifey sponsor the Bliss Cruise, it took over the entire ship, Cox says, with prominent signage, numerous activations and exclusive giveaways. Serenity and Timothy appeared at select themed events and socials during the seven-night voyage. “My husband and I went on this cruise knowing that Wifey had sponsored and knowing that we were representing the brand. But we didn’t know to what extent,” Cox says. “On every single table in the buffet there was like a photo of me and my husband from our Wifey promos. We were everywhere. We were laughing so much when we walked in.” Timothy tells AVN the atmosphere was “surreal.” “I had to sit at the buffet every day and see hundreds of pictures of myself on the tables,” he jokes. “At a hotel normally you have to pay for your porn, but Vixen provided porn in all the rooms and four out of 10 videos were all Serenity. “Every 10 steps we would get stopped. It was great, I loved it.” Cox’s mission as brand ambassador also is about piquing couples’ interest in the site—she introduces many to the brand for the first time. “It also is a bit of an educational piece as well as entertainment, this Wifey show,” she explains. “Because you watch an interview with a couple and you hear their stories. So it’s interesting to people in this lifestyle to just watch as well, because it’s nice to relate to somebody in that lifestyle. “But getting back to boarding this ship and seeing our faces everywhere it was a great conversation starter. People would just be like, ‘Hey, are you the girl who’s on my key card?’”  Cox says that as Wifey becomes more visible it alleviates any apprehension that couples within the community may still have about engaging with the brand. “Because within the ethical non-monogamy community people are a little suspicious when something like this is coming into play,” Serenity notes. “They’ll assume it’s going to be exploiting the lifestyle, looking for the drama. Because there’s been reality shows… It’s been shown in the media, and they always want that sort of dramatic take on it or catching you in something. “But Wifey has been very careful to be respectful to the couples that come on and letting them tell their story the way they want it to be heard. “And the couples are very involved in what gets put on the show and what might get cut. And \[the producers\] are very careful making sure that they’re completely happy with the message they’re putting across. It’s not that sort of reality TV spin where they want that clash.” Since debuting with VMG, Cox has become one of the company’s most in-demand stars. She was a central figure in MILFY’s AVN Award-winning Best Comedy, *American MILF*. In December 2025, Cox joined the cast of Blacked’s acclaimed feature, *The Blueprint,* performing her [first gangbang](https://members.vixenplus.com/videos/the-blueprint-part-4) in Part 4. This year she reached another milestone, rising to the occasion for her first double-penetration scene in the second episode of Deeper’s dreamy five-part feature, *[Equilibrium](https://members.vixenplus.com/videos/equilibrium-ep-2),* that was written and directed by AVN Hall of Famer Kayden Kross. Cox squared off with the two-time, reigning AVN Male Performer of the Year Vince Karter and the 2023 Male Performer of the Year Seth Gamble. “And it was flawless,” Serenity says. “It felt like we were in a dance together. It was very beautiful. And I watched it back afterwards, and it was just as just as good as it seemed in the moment. It just had a very magical feel to it.”  Kross tells AVN that Cox is a natural on camera. “Serenity was popping off on her own and we wanted to get her in,” Kross recalls. “Because people were already responding to her without a studio presence, I knew that she was going to continue to do well. She has something that comes through on camera that is just super authentic. It’s like an ‘it’ factor. “There’s a playfulness in the way she does a scene. A lot of people keep a wall up and focus on how it looks and how it’s affecting their career. But Serenity has that kind of effervescent joy that members respond to. “She smiles a lot during scenes.” Kayden reveals she had Serenity in mind for her biggest movie of the year. “When I was casting for *Equilibrium*, Serenity was immediately an obvious choice and I wrote to her character because she does have this ethereal goddess thing going on,” Kross continues. “She was perfect for the role. She neither shies away, nor shorts herself sexually. That girl moves the needle. “If you put a Serenity scene up, it will do well. She’s not a flash in the pan. It’s a pleasure working with her.”  Vince Karter agrees. The French star tells AVN he knew of Cox through social media and was intrigued before he got to the set. “There was always something about her that caught my attention,” Karter says. “She had this classy ‘wife-next-door’ quality, the kind of woman you could imagine crossing paths with in the lobby of a luxury hotel, without ever guessing how adventurous she might actually be.” The former real estate project manager from Paris says Kross & Co. set the tone with their production design. “They consistently create unique universes around their scenes, while giving me the freedom to be creative and bring my own personality to what we do,” Karter continues. “When I arrived on set, I immediately felt transported somewhere imaginary, into a world you would normally expect to find only in books. We were surrounded by an incredible forest setting, with an imposing throne made entirely of rocks at its center. The warm, rainy atmosphere completed the picture, giving everything the feeling of a fantasy novel brought to life. “Then I met Serenity. She was exactly as I had imagined: refined, poised and incredibly feminine, with a fascinating contrast between her appearance and the side of her we were about to discover. “The concept gave her a choice between remaining innocent or taking a much more daring path. She chose the naughty one, but what made it particularly captivating was that she never lost the natural class that defined her from the moment she arrived.”  He lauded his co-star Gamble as “a great performer and a solid teammate.” “Having someone you trust beside you is especially important for this type of shoot, where coordination and chemistry between everyone involved can make a huge difference in the final result,” Karter continues. “A first DP is always a significant experience, and Serenity quickly showed that there was much more to her than beauty. I loved watching her confidence grow as we progressed, discovering new sensations and adapting naturally to each position. Seeing her genuinely enjoy herself made the experience even more memorable. “By the end, what impressed me most was how naturally Serenity had made the experience her own.” Cox tells AVN nursing was a calling for her. She earned her degree in four years, but most of what she learned about nursing came from doing it. Sometimes she misses it, but not that much. “I miss it when my former colleagues and friends are talking to me about it,” Serenity says. “I miss the adrenaline, knowing you’re doing something good, helping people, and saving lives. “And just doing so much with so little and feeling like you accomplished something. But I realized that it was also very hard on me, and it’s still hard on my friends who are still in it. And as much as I miss those really exciting moments, there was a lot more to it that I don’t miss at all.” Still, Cox keeps renewing her certifications. “Time goes by so fast, and it’s been over two years now since I quit my nursing job. So at this point I still haven’t admitted to myself that I’m not going back,” Serenity tells AVN. “Everybody looks at me like you’re not going back to be a nurse ever again. … I still pay to renew my license every year, and I took one course this year. “I’m keeping some of my certifications up when I can. And I still volunteer at the sexual health clinic. So I still do some healthcare-related parts of my life, but it’s moving farther and farther away from me—that nursing role. And I get together with former colleagues once in a while just to get the gossip sometimes just to remind myself why I left. “I think I made the right decision for me personally.”  “I’m really impressed with her,” her husband Timothy tells me. “She did 15 years as a charge nurse at an inner city ER. She earned this easy life now. She really put in the hard work on the front line in a hospital in the fourth biggest city in North America. She saw it all. She saw some terrible things. “Nowadays she gets to enjoy life. So for anyone who questions her career choice, after 15 years as a trauma nurse I think she earned the right to do whatever she wants for work and you can decide if it’s right or wrong. “She definitely deserves this.” As she ponders her future, Cox tells AVN she would love to continue working closely with VMG, not to mention headline a big movie. “A goal would be the lead or the primary character in a feature,” Serenity says. “And I’ve also been doing some writing.” Cox reveals she’s been developing an idea for a showcase that is loosely based on her own life. “There’s a few things that are in the works that are a little different from what I’ve done previously,” Serenity says. “But I’m still very happy with representing Wifey and I’m hoping that we can continue.” There even has been talks about taking Wifey international. “I can’t say too much yet about what that might mean, but they’re definitely talking about bringing it more global, which would be really exciting,” Cox says. “I think there’s a lot of exciting stuff coming.”     *Photography by [After Hours Collective](https://www.instagram.com/afterhrs.collective)*
